Herb Adderley, a Philadelphia native who was recruited to Michigan State University by Coach Duffy Daugherty. He was a first round draft pick for the Green Bay Packers in 1961 by Coach Vince Lombardi. Adderley played for the Green Bay Packers(1961-69) and the Dallas Cowboys(1970-72).
In Super Bowl II, Adderley 's 60-yard interception return for a touchdown would be the only one recorded in the first 10 Super Bowls. Herb retired in 1973 and truly left his mark on the NFL

Herb Adderley was a first round draft pick in 1961 by the Green Bay Packers. He played in five Pro Bowl games, and played in four of the first six Super Bowl games, winning championship rings in three of them. He also played in seven NFL championship games in an 11-year span from 1961 through 1971. His teams – the Packers five times and the Cowboys twice – won every one. He was one of only four players to win six championships until Tom Brady won his seventh in 2021. In Super Bowl II, Herb's 60-yard interception return clinching a touchdown for the Packers was the only interception return for a touchdown in the first 10 Super Bowls. Herb was the first defensive player to score a touchdown in Super Bowl history. He was four time All-Pro, five time Pro Bowl and NFL 1960's All-Decade Team. At the time of his retirement in 1972, Herb played in more Super Bowls than any other player. In twelve seasons, Herb had 48 interceptions and seven touchdowns.
Herb was enshrined in the Pro-Football Hall of Fame in 1980.
