Beyond the Game: Strides & Rides is our inagural charity bike ride & walk, benefitting the Herb Adderley 26 Foundation.
This year riders and walkers will come together with a shared goal of raising funds to help Herb Adderley 26 Foundation maximize our impact in our community.
Mental health intervention improves resilience, and helps to develop well-rounded young athletes. A portion of the proceeds from this year’s ride will support services at EVOKE101—a business dedicated to promoting position mental health, emotional well-being, and professional development. These funds will provide athletes with access to personalized coaching sessions and psychoeducational materials designed to equip them with lifelong coping skills and tools for personal growth.
Mental toughness isn’t just for the game—it’s for life. The Herb Adderley 26 Foundation honors Herb’s legacy by championing mental health support for athletes and communities. Let’s ride in unity, resilience, and hope.

RIDING SAFELY:
1) Please be sure your bike is in good, working order before you arrive. If in doubt, take your bike to a shop to get a tune-up. We recommend The Bike Doctor, The Bicycle Escape, or Blue Ridge Bicycles.
2) You MUST wear a helmet. Riders without helmets will NOT be allowed to ride or will be removed from the course if seen riding without a helmet.
3) Do not ride more than two abreast. Many of these roads are narrow . Please do not take up a whole lane of traffic by riding more than two abreast.
4) Obey ALL traffic laws. If you see a red light or STOP sign...you must stop! The roads are not closed, and you will be riding with vehicles on the road. Riders seen breaking traffic laws will be removed from the course.
REST STOPS:
There will be a total of 3 rest stops on the course, 1 at each turn around point. When you are entering or leaving a rest stop, make sure you know your surroundings and signal or tell people what you are doing to avoid an accident. Make sure to thank our great rest stop sponsors who are out there to support you!
Water, oranges & bananas will be at each stop.
