Herb Adderley was more than just an elite athlete, he was a scholar. He emphasized the importance of academics to every young athlete he encountered. He attended and graduated from Michigan State University prior to being drafted into the NFL. As a student athlete at MSU, Herb was one of seven charter members of Sigma Chapter of Omega Psi
Herb Adderley was more than just an elite athlete, he was a scholar. He emphasized the importance of academics to every young athlete he encountered. He attended and graduated from Michigan State University prior to being drafted into the NFL. As a student athlete at MSU, Herb was one of seven charter members of Sigma Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated. He always signed autographs encouraging youth athletes, "Respect God, your parents and yourself. Always give 100% to studies." He quietly helped many young men and women financially with tuition; therefore the foundation will award an annual scholarship to deserving student in his name.

- 2.7 GPA or above
- Must have community service beyond required hours
- Current District of Columbia resident
- Prove financial need

Michael Settles graduated from Ron Brown College Preparatory High School in Washington, DC. He is currently a sophomore at Virginia Union University in Richmond, VA. Michael is majoring in Marine Biology.
He is the perfect recipient of the 1st annual HA26 Foundation Scholarship. Michael is thriving at VUU and is beating all of the odds that have been stacked against him.

Jelani Thompson hails from Kingston, Jamaica. He attended Howard University on a full academic scholarship, where he earned a BS in Chemistry in 2023. Jelani is a 3rd year student at Howard University College of Dentistry and will earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2027. He is #2 in his class and has plans to specialize in Oral & M
Jelani Thompson hails from Kingston, Jamaica. He attended Howard University on a full academic scholarship, where he earned a BS in Chemistry in 2023. Jelani is a 3rd year student at Howard University College of Dentistry and will earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2027. He is #2 in his class and has plans to specialize in Oral & Maxilofacial Surgery after graduation. Jelani intends to return to Jamaica where he says there is a real need for all dental specialists. He is a dedicated, intelligent and hard-working young man. Finances have not permitted Jelani from going home since arriving to DC 7 years ago, so HA26F is doing our part to provide support.

She is ranked #1 in her class and an active member in student government, community outreach, a member of Delta Phi Sigma Sorority, Inc, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
Dejenee recently experienced a traumatic situation which created a tremendous financial hardship. The foundation is honored to step in the gap to assist in a small way.
